I only posted this because I love that you can buy a ball of Shakespeare wool. Click on it and you get the best Shakespeare website ever.

Knit Bags

Should have been born in the '40s.

Thanks to multicrafty for your pattern. Though let's face it, it's just a bunch of rectangles, isn't it.

wire haired wonder

Fiknito!

I know it's not much to look at, technically speaking, but I'm still disproportionately pleased to have made my knitting comeback with this chunky scarf for my goddaughter. It's a tad bobbly along the sides, and I only realised you're not supposed to knot new colours together once halfway through - on my third attempt. I've also had to cover up a few schoolgirl errors with the buttons and ribbon. So we'll put it down to experience. She's only three anyway - who's to know.

Sc'arf a pound of tuppeny rice

..is what my latest attempt looks like. This is true of both the pink/purple stripey number being created, with attempted nochalance, for an unsuspecting 3 year old, and my latest mangled attempts at legal drafting.

Knitting merrily and rather self-satisfiedly away on the knorthern line this morning, and thinking how easily knitting big wool on big sticks came to a girl with big hips was apparently the equivalent to the karmic forces of a sea flare sent up on a stormy night. Ineptness (tying knots in the wool to change colour, instead of moving, literally seamlessly on) and inertia (5 wasted hours in a library making this blog) settled in.

The following simple and unbiased method of self assessment should motivate me soon enough, surely:
Prod-knit-ivity: 0
Proscrastknitcation: 10

Ours is knit to reason why...

...or 'while' as Gavin & Stacey's Pamela would have it. Welcome to my little bloguette, for all those who enjoy a good procrastiknit, a bad pun and Harry Enfield's Mr Cholmondley Warner.
